Once the action plan has been formulated, the Welsh Stakeholder working group will focus on supporting Welsh Government in developing its decarbonisation strategy.
Zemo will develop a monitoring dashboard that will track the actions progress, allocating responsibility for actions to industry and government, highlighting opportunities for Wales to accelerate decarbonisation.
The group will also monitor wider UK regulations that will impact the Welsh CV sector and inform Welsh government on how Wales will benefit from changes to certain policies.
For example, the Welsh CV sector has a large number of second-hand vehicles and so promotion of the use of low carbon fuels and repowering vehicles to zero emission will bring the fastest greenhouse gas benefits to a market which lags behind in EV adoption.
