WhatGreenCar?, the website established to help car buyers make the greenest vehicle choices has announced its 'Top 10 Green Wheels to Watch in 2008' focusing on vehicles due to launch this year.
The list includes vehicles running on petrol, diesel and electricity and utilising the latest fuel efficiency options. The list is headed by the Th!nk City electric car. According to the WhatGreenCar? website: "With petrol and diesel prices continuing to rise beyond £1 per litre, and increasing acceptance of the imminent threats posed by climate change, there cannot have been a better time to buy a fuel-efficient, low emission car. As government, company car and London Congestion Charge incentives for low carbon cars steadily increase, the auto industry is at last beginning to offer a wider range of new low carbon cars. To illustrate this change in attitude, all ten models in the 'Top 10 Green Wheels' list have tailpipe CO2 emissions of 120 g/km or less.
