A new survey shows that more people are considering the environmental credentials of cars before they decide which one to buy.
The research, carried out for AA Personal Loans, suggests that increasing awareness of the environmental impacts of motoring is leading 17% of car buyers to consider the green credentials of their next car - an 11% increase compared with a similar survey completed in March 2006.
The survey asked a representative sample of 4,000 UK motorists about their car buying plans for the year ahead and why they would replace their vehicle.
