Most MPs of all UK parties agree with the UK chief scientist's view that climate change is at least as big a threat to the world as terrorism, according to a survey by BPRI.
The survey – based on a sample of 100 backbench MPs - found that two-thirds of MPs believe that while terrorism does not affect everyone, climate change could have devastating long-term consequences for many more people. Professor David King, the Government's Chief Scientist, has repeatedly warned that greater urgency is required in tackling climate change.
