Nominations are now being sought for tourism initiatives that make a positive contribution to conservation and the economies of local communities while minimizing any negative impacts of travel and tourism. Past winners of the best transport initiative include Sustrans and Eurostar. The First Choice Responsible Tourism Awards, in thirteen categories, are organised by online travel agent responsibletravel.com in association with a range of sponsors.
Nominations should be sent to awards@responsibletravel.com and include full contact details of the nomination plus up to 100 words on why you believe they should win a responsible tourism award. Nominations close on Monday 14th August.
Those who nominate a category winner will be entered into a draw for an Antarctic voyage for two and a long weekend for two by Loch Ness. .
