LowCVP ran its first Low Emission Cities workshop on Monday, 6th July in partnership with York City Council. The event was very well received by the attendees, including a number of local authorities

The workshop, designed to highlight key opportunities open to local policy makers, received presentations from Steve Ives (OLEV) outlining the scope of the Go Ultra Low City Scheme, Gloria Esposito (LowCVP) who gave an overview of the UK Low Emission Buses market, David Beeton (Urban Foresight) briefed the workshop on LowCVP’s local authority Good Practice Guide on low emission vehicle policy measures and Steve Carrol (CENEX) explained LowCVP’s Low Emission Van Guide for fleet operators.

LowCVP will be organising further local authority workshops this year focusing on policy, technical and practical issues related to different low emission vehicle technologies and fuels plus infrastructure. Please contact the Partnership if you would like to hear more or support a workshop in your area.
