New certification documents to assess low carbon emission buses have been released on the LowCVP's 'green buses' microsite. Meanwhile, bus operators are responding to a call for data from the Department for Transport which will be used to assess the performance of vehicles supported under the Green Bus Fund.
The data received from recipients of grants under the Green Bus Fund will be collated into reports which the Department for Transport will publish. The reports are intended to provide information which will be useful to other operators who may be considering buying low carbon buses.
Before finalising the data requirements, the Department is testing its proposals on operators who already have Green Bus Fund buses in service via members of the LowCVP's Buses Working Group. The initial deadline for response to the test proposals is 18 March.
