More leading speakers announced for LowCVP Conference 2015

Christophe Arnaud of Bluepoint London will provide delegates at next Wednesday's LowCVP Conference with the latest news on progress towards the launch of the Bolloré Group's electric car sharing scheme - Autolib London. Smart Cities expert Dan Byles, the former MP, soldier and Polar adventurer will also speak during the post-Conference reception. They join a long list of leading speakers including the new transport minister, Andrew Jones, at the Conference entitled: 'The Energy for Future Transport'.
 
This year's LowCVP Annual Conference takes place on 24 June in Westminster. Focusing on 'The Energy for Future Transport' the event will discuss how Formula E can help make electric motoring mainstream in the run-up to the final e-Prix in Battersea Park on June 27-8. Sponsored by EDF Energy, this year’s Conference will focus on future fuels for transport and the infrastructure required to support them, particularly in the city environment. It will provide an opportunity to find out how electric vehicle motor racing will affect the mainstream car market.  We are delighted that FIA Formula E’s Chief Executive, Alejandro Agag, will speak at the event.

This year's event will provide an opportunity for local policy makers to find out more about best practice in low carbon road transport, particularly valuable for the twelve cities involved in OLEV’s £35m Go Ultra Low City Scheme for which final bids are due at the end of August.
 
The Conference morning session, chaired by ITV's Formula E presenter Jennie Gow,  will focus on how Formula E can help drive electric motoring into the mainstream. Featuring Edmund King, President of the AA, the session will also include responses from Vincent Geslin of Renault, Pascal Couasnon of Michelin and Sian Berry of the Campaign for Better Transport. 
 
A keynote address from a leading government spokesperson will be followed by parallel sessions focusing on a roadmap for future transport fuels and the fuels infrastructure challenges we face. The sessions will include the presentation of two new reports recently commissioned by the LowCVP.
 
The final Conference session, chaired by the BBC's Roger Harrabin, will look to bring together some of the earlier discussions and look at Mobility in Future Cities including a contribution from the senior environment adviser to the Mayor of London, Matthew Pencharz.
