The LowCVP is to conduct its second Stakeholder Survey of expert opinion on some of the key low carbon road transport issues in advance of the LowCVP conference on June 8. The LowCVP's first Stakeholder Survey was conducted in 2007.
Representatives of the LowCVP's 300-plus member organisations will be invited to give their views on key current issues relating to the low carbon vehicle and fuel agenda during the next two weeks. The results of the survey will be presented at the LowCVP conference on 8 June at City Hall, London. The LowCVP's members represent an extremely well informed body of opinion on policy, technical, marketing and other issues relating to low carbon transport and their views are expected to provide interesting reading. The questionnaire will cover the 'big issues' such as regulation and whether the emissions reduction targets are likely to be met. More detailed issues including biofuels policy will also be covered, as well as the introduction of support measures for electric and hybrid vehicles. There will be questions about changing consumer behaviour and the power of advertising. There will also be an opportunity for stakeholders to express views about the past influence and future performance of the LowCVP. The survey will be carried out using technology built in to the LowCVP website and will be delivered to LowCVP member contacts by email early next week (week beginning 18 May).
