LowCVP hosting webinar series on new European funding for the Green Cars Initiative

The Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership, in conjunction with the UK FP7, SMMT and the Transport KTN is hosting a series of webinars to support UK organisation secure European funding under the latest call for proposals under the Green Car Initiative and Surface Transport themes of FP7.
The European Commission is due to announce the next round of calls for proposals under FP7, the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, on the 20th July 2011.
In order to support organisations in preparing proposals, the Commission will be holding information days on 11th and 12th July in Brussels. The aim of the events is to inform organisations about FP7 and the new calls for proposals. The information days will also cover the main legal and procedural conditions relating to the calls and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. Participants will also have the chance to network with potential project partners.

In order to support UK organisations, particularly SMEs, in successfully bidding for funding under FP7 programme the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership will be running a series of webinars. The aim of the webinars will be to:
• Explain the call for proposals under the FP7 programme, and allow you to assess whether its right for you.
• Look at ways to raise your organisations profile in seeking partners in the UK and across Europe.
• Advise UK organisations in finding or developing a consortium to bid for funding.
• Support UK organisations in developing successful proposals for funding.
In addition to Cliff Funnell, the UK National Contact Point for Surface Transport under FP7, previously successful organisations will be presenting their experience and learning from bidding for previous rounds of funding under FP7.
