The LowCVP is to hold a fringe meeting at each of the three autumn party conferences on the subject "Biofuels; more good than harm?". The events will take place on the Tuesday evening (7.30pm) at each conference in the the 'Climate Clinic' venue which is dedicated to discussions about climate change.
Shadow transport ministers Susan Kramer (LibDems) and Theresa Villiers (Conservative) have already agreed to speak, along with leading figures from the energy and motor industries as well as from the NGO community. Full speaker details will be announced soon.
This year's Climate Clinics will take place at dedicated venues in Brighton (16-20 Sept) for the LibDem conference; Bournemouth (23-27 Sept) for the Labour conference and Blackpool (30 Sept - 3 Oct) for the Conservative gathering. Full details of all events taking place in the Climate Clinic will be published on the website shortly (see associated link).
