Following successful internships over the last 3 years, the LowCVP is offering a new voluntary internship, working directly with the LowCVP Secretariat team for a six months period. The internship provides an unrivalled opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of the low carbon transport sector, particularly in the areas of low carbon road transport policy and low carbon vehicle technologies and fuels.
The LowCVP, which was founded over 13 years ago, is at the heart of fostering effective policies to encourage a UK-wide move to low carbon road transport.
A public-private partnership with almost 200 member oganisations, the LowCVP's mission is to to accelerate a sustainable shift to low carbon vehicles and fuels in the UK and thereby stimulate opportunities for UK businesses.
Internship candidates should be/have:

Interest in environmental issues and transport/mobility

Good research and analytical skills

Confident and proactive
-
Well-organised with good written and verbal communications skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)

Good attention to detail
Activities will include:

Experiencing research into topics related to low carbon vehicles from whole-life CO2 analysis, local government low emissions vehicle policy, low emissions vehicle market analysis to user operation and choice.

Supporting dissemination activities associated with LowCVP publications, events and initiatives

Supporting the LowCVP team with membership and communication activities

Providing administrative and liaison support to project managers

Flexible support to all aspects of the day-to-day LowCVP's operations
The position is voluntary and based in our Westminster offices. The LowCVP will cover receipted travel and lunch expenses only, up to £15 per day.
