LowCVP Low Carbon Awards 'Champion' amongst UK nominees for EBAE Awards

Celtic Renewables, one of LowCVP's 2014 Low Carbon Champions Award winners will be going forward to contest the European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE). The RSA Environment Awards Forum has announced the 11 UK entrants selected as finalists for the for 2016.
The EBAE recognises outstanding, new or innovative contributions to sustainable development and the UK finalists will compete for the highly prestigious prize against winners from 28 other countries on the European stage. Celtic Renewables was the winner of the 2014 Low Carbon Innovation by an SME LowCVP Low Carbon Champions Award.
As an awards scheme accredited by the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), winners of LowCVP's Low Carbon Champions awards are eligible to enter the EBAE. Celtic Reweables adapts an Acetone-Butanol-Ethanol (ABE) fermentation process to produce advanced biofuel. Being applied at a whisky production centre, waste is used to produce energy.

The European Business Awards for the Environment are awarded by the European Commission every two years and aim to recognise and reward European companies which set an example by successfully bringing together innovation, economic viability, environmental considerations and social equity.
