The LowCVP has launched a refreshed website with a new, cleaner design and some enhanced functionality. The new site features more images, other multi-media and social media links.
The LowCVP website now features:
- An increased use of images to illustrate home page news, features and to otherwise enhance the presentation of content throughout the website
- A feature column on the right-hand side of each page allowing greater accessibility to latest relevant content
- A home page 'feature banner' which will be used to highlight the most important recent initiatives and events
- A home page video, supplied by GreenTV, which will be regularly updated
- Enhanced 'Google-style' search functionality enabling more rapid access to news, resources, events, viewpoints, press releases and other content
- A dedicated past webinar section which enables visitors to view and listen to the LowCVP's past on-line events
- A simplified navigation structure
The website will continue to provide a news service with regular updates and comment on low carbon vehicle and fuel developments. There are now over 1400 items of news on the website, dating back to 2003.
The site also continues to provide information about low carbon transport and related events (both LowCVP and third-party), a data-rich resources library, including relevant reports and studies, presentations and a library of downloadable, hi-res images.
The website members area (accessible via a password) also has improved functionality, enabling members to view and comment on documents relating to the Partnership's Working Groups and other input to government policy. Members can also advertise low carbon jobs on the LowCVP website and provide commentary on relevant issues, as well as view Partnership positions and publications through the site's viewpoint section.
