The LowCVP welcomed around 100 members of the investment and automotive development communities to an event held at Plaisterers' Hall in London on March 23rd. The event was intended to focus attention on the opportunities available to investors in the low carbon automotive sector.

One of LowCVPs objectives is to support the development of new automotive technologies in the UK. A 2009 LowCVP study revealed that securing financing for new low carbon technologies has generally focused on energy technologies, with investors viewing the automotive sector as complex to engage in and to understand.

The purpose of this event was to address this perception and help to provide a clearer picture of the direction of the automotive sector and how various low carbon technology options compare. Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive and futher events will be arranged.

Presentations from the event are available via the associated link.
