The LowCVP's annual conference which had been planned for April 30th will now take place later in the year following the postponement until 2010 of the Sexy Green Motor Show. The LowCVP event had been scheduled to take place at the ExCel Centre in London on the preview day of the 'Sexy Green' Show.

The postponement of the Sexy Green Motor Show was announced shortly after the cancellation of this year's Commercial Vehicle Show, also a victim of the sharp economic downturn which has hit the motor industry particularly hard.

A spokesman for IMIE, who were organising the Sexy Green Motor Show in collaboration with the Eden Project, said (quoted in Business Car magazine): “Launching in 2010 gives car manufacturers, many of whom are yet to fully roll-out their low-emission range of vehicles, the opportunity to showcase their environmentally-focused model line up at a time when the UK car buyers are much more likely to buy new cars.”

The LowCVP's annual conference will now be held at an alternative venue later in the year.
