LowCVP and Sustainability Hub at the Party Conferences

The LowCVP is working with the sustainability hub to participate in events at the upcoming party conferences. Events are planned to take place in Bournemouth (LibDems), Brighton (Labour) and Manchester (Conservatives) - where DECC Secretary of State Amber Rudd will speak - during the next month.
The events are open to all (though Conference security passes will be required, except at Lib Dems event in Bournemouth.)
The sustainability hub believes the UK will be a leading low carbon economy. To help achieve this transition, it works closely with government leadership promoting smart investment, sustainable policy and action on climate change.
A politically neutral organisation, it brings together policy makers, academics, the third sector and the UK’s largest businesses to facilitate dialogue, present research, challenge concepts and campaign on sustainable solutions for all.

Liberal Democrats with Green Liberal Democrats: Tuesday 22nd September 2015, 19.45-21.00, Connaught Suite, Connaught Hotel, Bournemouth
Debate: “Winning the Battle of ideas”
Chair: Simon Oliver, Chair, Green Liberal Democrats
Speakers: Fiona Hall, former leader, Lib Dems, European Parliament; Caroline Lucas MP; Mike Tuffrey, Chair, London Region Lib Dems; other speakers tbc. Tim Farron MP invited. Details to follow.
The Sustainability Hub is once again co-hosting a Green Summit which is part of the Liberal Democrats Corporate events programme. The event will discuss the Conference motion: ‘Securing a Global Treaty on Climate Change’. You will need an additional ticket to attend these events BUT sustainability hub members will receive a 50% discount.

Reception, featuring eco action games – fun and games to save the planet
