LowCVP activities at LCV2016: networking dinner, bus showcase, UK Pavilion

The LowCVP will be showcasing the UK industry's successful introduction of greener buses at Cenex's LCV2016 event on September 14-15, as well as collaborating with other government-linked and funding agencies in a new 'UK Pavilion'  which is set to be a central feature of the show. The LowCVP will also, for the third time, be co-hosting with Cenex the networking Champions Awards dinner which has become an increasingly popular feature of the show in recent years.
 
The buses will ferry delegates from the car park to the LCV exhibition halls at Millbrook Proving Ground to demonstrate how a variety of the latest low carbon and low emission technologies; from battery electric vehicles and hybrids to hydrogen and biomethane fuelled buses. 

On arrival at the show, delegates will be able to visit the LowCVP's Low Emission Bus Depot (Stand C2-17, just behind the registration desk) at which delegates will have the chance to meet representatives of the LowCVP and industry partners Volvo, Optare and Scania to learn more about Low Emission Buses and related technologies.
 
The LowCVP will also be running a Low Emission Bus Seminar at LCV2016 (Thursday 15th September, Seminar Dome, 9.30am) which will enable discussion on how low carbon and low emission technologies can be successfully deployed in UK bus fleets.
 
In addition, the LowCVP is collaborating with other UK government-affiliated agencies and funding bodies supporting UK motor industry innovation which are coming together to present a 'UK Pavilion', which will be a centrepiece of the show.  Situated in Hall 3, the UK Pavilion will present the UK's innovation support ecosystem, from academia and research support through to commercialisation, and will showcase the Government’s commitment to innovation and growth in the UK automotive industry.
 
It aims to be a hub of knowledge for delegates visiting LCV2016, enabling them to learn first-hand how the UK’s unique innovation ecosystem fits together, as well as explore the range of support available from each organisation. As well as the LowCVP, the UK Pavilion will showcase the following organisations:
 
● Advanced Propulsion Centre
● Advanced Propulsion Centre Spokes Communities 
● Automotive Council 
● Centre for Connected & Autonomous Vehicles
● Department of International Trade
● Innovate UK
● Office for Low Emission Vehicles

Formula E television presenter Nicki Shields will lead the presentation of the 2016 LowCVP Low Carbon Champions Awards, to be held in Milton Keynes (Double Tree by Hilton at the MK Dons Stadium) on Wednesday 14 September.
