As part of the LowCVP’s 'The Year of the Low Emission Bus' celebrations, the partnership will be hosting a Low Emission Bus (LEB) Showcase at the Low Carbon Vehicle event 2016 taking place from the 14th -15th September. Visitors to the event will be transported across the Millbrook Proving Ground to the exhibition halls by a selection of the latest Low Emission Bus technologies, highlighting the variety of clean 'green' buses in operation in the UK today.

This wide range of LEB technologies on show at LCV 2016 demonstrate the tremendous progress made over the last 20 years by the UK bus industry. The Journey of the Green Bus details how a quiet revolution has taken place in the UK bus industry resulting in the UK hosting the biggest market for low carbon and low emission buses. Consistent policy from successive governments has been a key driver for the development of this market, with the Green Bus Fund providing over £120m of investment to local authorities and bus operators from 2010 - 2015.
The LowCVP will also be hosting a Low Emission Bus Seminar on the second day of LCV (15 September) which will detail how the low carbon transport agenda has been championed by bus manufacturers and operators in the UK.
