The UK’s green industry business network, ecoConnect, has announced the 40 finalists who will be presenting at next year's Cleantech Innovate on 13th February 2014. Nine of the finalists are companies showcasing innovations in the LowCVP-sponsored Low Carbon Transport Award category.
The forty British growth-oriented and venture-ready technology companies will present live at what is one of the largest innovation showcase events of its kind in the UK. Companies were pre-selected from a highly competitive field and drawn from the corporate, academic and private sectors.
In addition to the opportunity to present at the event, the Low Carbon Transport Award category winners will be celebrated through the Partnership's communications channels and receive a range of other benefits.
Cleantech Innovate will feature a keynote address from Greg Barker MP, Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change. It will include leading innovations in a number of categories in addition to low carbon transport; energy storage, renewable energy and resource management. Winning representatives will present to an audience of investors, corporate buyers and sector support services.
Robert Hokin, CEO and Co-Founder of ecoConnect said: “with 84 high-quality applications for 40 places and a very tough selection committee, the presenters who have made it through to the final should be justifiably proud of themselves. We are delighted to be able to showcase such an outstanding range of UK-based technologies which could make a significant impact on the delivery of the low carbon economy.”
