The French Government are to introduce an obligation under which all new cars will display an energy rating label similar to that displayed on electrical goods. The obligation, under the French Government's climate plan will band car emissions from A to G.
Car manufacturers Renault and PSA have announced that they are to start labelling vehicles in advance of the official timetable. The scheme is a key aspect of France's climate plan 2004-2012.
