Representatives of LowCVP member organisations will be invited to give their views on key current issues relating to the low carbon vehicle and fuel agenda in the LowCVP's first wide-scale stakeholder opinion survey during June. The results of the survey will be presented at the LowCVP conference on 28 June.
The LowCVP now has over 250 member organisations with over 300 named contacts. This group of people represents an extremely well informed body of opinion on policy, technical, marketing and other issues relating to the low carbon transport and their combined views are expected to provide interesting reading.
The questionnaire will cover the 'big issues' such as regulation and voluntary agreements and whether there should be a sector-specific target for road transport emissions cuts. More detailed issues including biofuels targets and road user charging will also be covered, as well as attitudes to the Bus Service Operators' Grant (BSOG). There will be questions about the potential of marketing and advertising to influence consumer choice, to link with the conference discussions around the Cars NOT Carbon competition. There will also be an opportunity for stakeholders to express views about the past influence and future performance of the LowCVP.
The survey will be carried out using technology built in to the new LowCVP website and will be delivered by email. The results will be presented during the afternoon session of the LowCVP conference.
