A driving expedition to Outer Mongolia using fuel made from landfill waste is seeking interest and support from commercial and other organisations. An earlier 'carbon negative' expedition by organisers Bio Truck took a lorry from the UK to Timbuktu using fuel made from chocolate waste.
Bio Truck says that the Timbuktu expedition received an excellent press response and that there is interest from Discovery, BBC and BBC World, as well as other media, for the forthcoming trip to Outer Mongolia which will be made in a vehicle using fuel made from landfill waste using Fisher Tropsch synthesis. Bio Truck says it will also be taking paramotors able to show that aviation fuel can also be made in the same. way. Bio Truck is looking for sponsorship and other types of support for the expedition.
