Following elections, there have been several changes to the Board of the LowCVP. Professor Rob Thring of Loughborough University and Phil Margrave of Go-Ahead London will join the Board while Professor Neville Jackson, Ricardo (LowCVP Chair), Graham Smith, Toyota Motor Europe, Philip Sellwood, Energy Saving Trust and Stewart Kempsell, Shell international, will serve a further term.

Professor Rob Thring holds the Chair in Fuel Cell Engineering at Loughborough University. He established and managed the Ultra-Low Emissions Engine (ULEE) Program which was a four year, multi-client (15 clients) co-operative research program aimed at helping to develop the technology needed for the passenger car manufacturers to meet the California ULEV exhaust emission standards. He is also involved in ETCS, the Engine Technology Consulting Service, which he started and has built to 30 clients worldwide. He has research interests in a range of low carbon vehicle technologies and applications and was formerly a consultant at Ricardo.

Phil Margrave is Group Engineering Director at Go-Ahead London and has held this role since 2008. He coordinates engineering activity across the group to take advantage of scale and best practice, whilst preserving the benefits of operating company autonomy. His role includes vehicle procurement, delivery of best practice initiatives and standards, and the development of alternative fuel technologies as well as engineering aspects of the group's corporate social responsibility commitment.

The two funding Government Departments (DfT and BIS) attend Board meetings as contributing observers.
