The Centre of Excellence in Low Carbon and Fuel Cell technologies (Cenex) is to host a three-day workshop on 'Delivering the Low Carbon Transition: Vehicles, fleets and mobility' in Loughborough from 9-11 December.

The residential programme is aimed at senior managers and policy makers with responsibility for transport, vehicles, travel and logistics from the public and private sector.

The programme runs will incorporate instruction, workshops and expert seminars, as well as the chance to drive a range of Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) from Tesla, Nissan and Mitsubishi at Donington Park.

Keith Budden, head of business development at Cenex said, "We hope that the course will provide each attendee with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver carbon and cost savings in their organisation. If the EU and UK are going to hit our carbon saving targets, it is imperative that decision makers have the right knowledge of regulation, technology and infrastructure to enable their businesses to remain competitive.”

The course is part funded by the European Union’s Climate Knowledge Innovation Community Climate-KIC.
