Cenex LCV2016 seminar programme launched

Cenex has announced the seminar programme for this year's national Low Carbon Vehicle Event (LCV2016), the UK’s largest technology showcasing and networking event for the UK low carbon vehicle community. The winning 'Go Ultra Low Cities' competition winners will be among the exhibitors at the event.

The programme incluces keynote addresses from the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), ERTRAC, Innovate UK and BMW. The 14-15 September event will feature seminars based on 12  themes. The LowCVP will host a workshop on low emissions buses on Day 2 as part of the Partnership's Low Emission Bus Showcase at LCV2016 focusing on the successful introduction of 'greener' buses in the UK. 

The Chief Executive of Cenex, Robert Evans, said that this year's programme has been designed to showcase the latest technology developments and results from research projects, as well as to look at the future for the low carbon vehicle community.  

Seminar topics will range from vehicle lightweighting and low carbon commercial vehicles, to battery technologies and connected and autonomous vehicles. New thematic sessions include a session on air quality and automotive electronics, as well as a multi-session workshop to be run on the 14 September by the Advanced Propulsion Centre.

Cenex has also announced that the winners of the Government's 'Go Ultra Low Cities' competition will be exhibiting at LCV2016. The winning cities were Milton Keynes Council, Nottingham City Council and the cities of Bath and Bristol.
