Description:
As companies set ambitious targets to reach net zero, reducing their transport fleet greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is becoming increasingly important. Whilst initial focus has been on organisations managing their own vehicle fleet emissions, attention is now shifting to their supply chain.
For HGV operators, addressing GHG emission reduction can be particularly challenging, given the intensive operational requirements of their fleet and the financial implications of shifting away from diesel. Sustainable low carbon fuels are one of several options available for decarbonising HGV fleets and offer an immediate opportunity to mitigate GHG emissions.
Zemo Partnership is hosting a webinar on the 28th September, 14:30-15:45, to discuss the role of low carbon fuels in decarbonising HGV fleets with industry experts to explore key questions around the supply of sustainable low carbon fuels, how to stimulate demand, and scale up their adoption in the UK.
We are excited to announce that our industry expert panel session is due to be chaired by Haydn Young, Founder of Rutland Forums, and we are pleased to introduce the following speakers:
- Jonas Strömberg, Sustainable Transport Business Manager, Scania.
- Chris Ashley, Head of Policy, Road Haulage Association.
- Philip Fjeld, CEO and Founder, ReFuels.
- Dr Nick Head, Head of Sustainability, XPO Logistics.
- Karl Wilshaw, Fleet Director, Travis Perkins Plc.
