Description:
This seminar will bring together policymakers in Parliament and Whitehall. Senior stakeholders in the automotive industry, their suppliers and other stakeholders, including the LowCVP Managing Director Greg Archer, will examine the prospects for the UK and European automotive sectors as the markets recover from the global economic downturn.
With the UK’s Automotive Council having pledged to transform the industry, by developing a stronger supply chain and encouraging investment in low carbon technologies, this meeting will be a timely opportunity to assess the progress that has been made and to consider the next steps in sustaining growth.
Including a keynote presentation from Toyota Motor Europe, planned sessions include:
• The growth outlook for the automotive industry;
• Latest developments in manufacture and supply chain management;
• Next steps for clean fuel and electric vehicle technologies; and
• Emerging concepts for reinventing automobile ownership including leasing.
