The Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership is hosting a local authority workshop to outline best practice measures for increasing the take-up of low pollution and carbon vehicles in cities covering cars, vans, taxis, and buses. The workshop is being run in collaboration with CENEX, Urban Foresight and City of York Council. The event will also be the launch of LowCVP’s new best practice guides for local authorities and van fleet operators. The event is free and will include lunch plus an opportunity for a question and answer session with low emission vehicle experts.
The day's agenda will include:

Introduction to low emission vehicles and fuels in the UK: Policy overview and overcoming barriers.

Good Practice Guide: Local measures to encourage the take up of low emission vehicles with examples of best practice in the UK and internationally.

A demonstration of the Low Emission Van Guide and Tool and a best practice fleet procurement case study.

An Overview of low emission buses and OLEV Low Emission Bus Scheme.

Q&A session.
