Description:

Aimed at cities and local authorities, the LowCVP is hosting a free workshop in partnership with Sheffield City Council to help the delivery of best practice measures for increasing the take up of low emission vehicles in cities. The workshop will show how cities can reduce air pollution as well as help to meet climate change targets.

Delegates will hear from experts from Birmingham City Council (about the city's low emission vehicles strategy), Reading Buses (biomethane bus fleet), Barnsley Council (Ecostars -  helping commercial fleets reduce emissions) and ITM Power (opportunities in hydrogen power).

The LowCVP's MD, Andy Eastlake will present the LowCVP’s Good Practice Guide which outlines a wide variety of policies and measures local authorities can adopt to stimulate uptake of low emission light duty vehicles, notably cars, vans and taxis in towns and cities.

To reserve a place at the workshop please send your details to: secretariat@lowcvp.org.uk

The Guide outlines examples of best practice from across the UK and internationally. Local measures play an important role in establishing incentives to encourage the purchase of low emission vehicles.
