Description:
Now in its 6th year, LCV is one of the UK's leading, national low carbon vehicle events featuring a major exhibition (including ride and drive opportunities: the list of ride and drive vehicles has now been published), conferences, seminars, networking and other activities. The LowCVP will be exhibiting and otherwise playing an active role at the event including promoting the Low Carbon Automotive Directory (LCAD) supported by the Dept for Business and UKTI.
The event will be officially opened by Transport Minister Norman Baker MP. For further other latest news click here. Registration for the event closes on Monday 2nd September at 5pm but visitors can come to LCV and register on the day.
LCV is run by Cenex, the UK's first centre of excellence for low carbon and fuel cell technologies with assistance from Supporting Partners including the Technology Strategy Board, the Department of Business Innovation and Skills, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and UK Trade & Investment.
Key features of LCV 2013 include;
• A low and ultra low carbon vehicle and technology exhibition showcasing the innovative R&D from the UK's leading automotive technology companies and universities
• A low carbon vehicle ride & drive where visitors can experience driving or being driven in the latest low and ultra low carbon vehicles
• A Conference and Technical Seminar Programme run in parallel over the two days of the event covering themes in the development of technology, markets and policy influencing low and ultra low carbon vehicle Research, Development, Demonstration and Deployment. STOP PRESS: The LowCVP in collaboration with UKTI is hosting a 'Meet the Universities' Reception at 5pm on 4 September at LCV 2013. The event aims to provide an opportunity for UK university representatives to meet with industry participants, including overseas visitors, UK SMEs, as well as UKTI overseas officers.
