Description:

The Technology Strategy Board would like to to share the details of two exciting funding opportunities for UK technology organisations in the Automotive sector.

Join the TSB and meet the team from the Low Carbon Vehicle Innovation Platform who will let you know how you can apply and give you with a chance to meet technology collaborators & suppliers from other technology sectors.

The two upcoming funding opportunities are:

IDP11 – Due to open for applications in early Sept 2014, is the 11th competition for Collaborative Research & Development grant funding in the Integrated Delivery Programme. The objective of this funding is to help early-stage technologies being developed for eventual deployment onto road-going vehicles, regardless of their initial development platform. Projects must result in a physical demonstration of the technology and be able to show a well planned development path towards volume production.

Off-Highway Vehicles – Due to open for applications in late Sept 2014, this competition is focussing on the off-road vehicle sector. It aims to bring on-road and off-road technology companies together with OEMs and Tier1 suppliers to jointly develop new technological solutions to existing and future challenges.

This Networking and Consortium Building event is free to attend by relevant businesses and research organisations, and often attract upwards of 400 delegates. It is organised by the Technology Strategy Board to disseminate the scope of the new competitions, and to facilitate the attending organisations in finding potential new collaboration partners with whom to form a project team to apply for funding.

More information about the event will be posted soon but the day will contain:

  • Outlines of the IDP11 and Off-Highway Vehicle Competitions for Funding
  • Opportunities for innovative technology companies to have a small, free exhibition space, and/or present their capabilities to the delegates in our “speed pitching” sessions
  • Facilitated and Open networking sessions

Presentation pitches will be just 3-minutes long and to a supplied 2-slide Powerpoint template. Expressions of interest will be accepted up to midday on 20th June. You will be notified by email by COB 23rd June if you are being offered a presentation pitch, or not, as well as the PPT template and deadline submission date for the successful applicants.

The free exhibition spaces will comprise simply a poseur table supplied FOC and space behind the table for you to place one or two self-supporting popup banners of your company. It is meant to be a “home base” for companies at which delegates can find you in the networking breaks, and onto which you can place your brochures, all of which can be set up by you on the morning of the 3rd July prior to the event opening.

You are only expected to man your table during the networking breaks. Regretfully, large exhibits or larger stand spaces will not be available. Same rules apply as for the presentation pitches.

At 30 June there were one or two pitching tables remaining due to late withdrawals.
