Description:

With fuel prices rising, fleet managers and heads of transport will want to find ways of keeping costs to a minimum. Some of the solutions to these issues could be found at GreenFleet Scotland which is returning to the Royal Highland Showground at Ingliston, Edinburgh on Thursday, 1st September 2011.

GreenFleet Scotland offers one-stop-shop for fleet managers and heads of transport that want to manage their fleets more efficiently. The mix of fuel efficient driver training, low emission vehicles as well as the information gained from the seminars and internal exhibitors provides the ideal ground to keep up-to-date with the latest fuel efficient, money saving initiatives in the fleet world in Scotland.

This year the Energy Saving Trust is also able to provide fuel efficient driver training and will be offering short ‘taster’ sessions at Ingliston on the day to encourage greater uptake by fleet drivers in the future. It makes sense that whilst fuel costs have risen then making good savings by adopting some simple driving techniques can help mitigate some of the increases. The Energy Saving Trust estimates that most drivers can save up to two months’ worth of fuel each year after training. That can result in some considerable savings compared to the cost of the training.

A number of high level speakers will contribute to the seminar programme running throughout the day (details will be announced shortly). Whether you want to find out about what finance is available for fleet improvements (such as the Energy Saving Trust’s low carbon transport loan) or you want more information on the latest technologies, experts will be on hand to present on the many aspects of fleet management.

The exhibition also presents and unrivalled opportunity to engage with product providers and to explore the latest offerings to help make your fleet both more cost-effective and more environmentally friendly. To register please visit www.greenfleetscotland.co.uk.
