The Environmental Industries Commission are holding a conference on the RTFO - 'Fuelling the Future: Making a Success of the Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation' - on 4 April in central London.
The Government’s announcement of the RTFO places a legal requirement on suppliers of fuel to include a biofuels component. The detail of the RTFO is critical to its effects in terms of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and its impacts on the UK biofuels industry. The conference will provide a framework for examining these important details
The Conference will hear from Dr Stephen Ladyman MP, Transport Minister and the leading policy-makers and biofuel entrepreneurs. The LowCVP Director, Greg Archer, will speak from a platform which also includes Peter Ainsworth MP (Shadow Secretary of State for Environment), Paul Hodson (EU Commission), Martin Johnson (HM Treasury) and Tony Grayling (ippr).
