Description:

This seminar will discuss the latest developments in transmissions and drive line technology, with a particular focus on areas that can help lower emissions and maximise fuel economy. There are discounted rates for LowCVP members at the event.

For several years now the traditional segregation within the powertrain industry has steadily been broken down to see joint development of engine, gearbox and driveline. The increasing capability of the electronic control system has facilitated this development. This seminar will concentrate on the gearbox and driveline - 'the flywheel to the wheel nuts!' Looking to the future, we will discuss how technology is evolving, how the OEM and customer demands are driving this change and what the driveline system can deliver.

Although the primary focus for the event is the passenger car market the technologies discussed will have application across the automotive industry and indeed it is hoped this cross-over will encourage more discussion between sectors. Representatives of car OEMs, driveline suppliers, the commercial truck industry and the off-road and military sectors will all benefit from attendance.

LowCVP members can register at a discounted rate (the same rate as IMechE members) by tickikng the “Member, supporting organisation” box on the registration form.
