Biofuels: the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation, progress on adoption and the next generation

This seminar will be an opportunity to re-examine the Government's biofuels strategy, a year on from the finalisation of the Government's Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO), following changes to the policy in order to implement the transport elements of the European Renewable Energy Directive (RED). In the context of a maturing sector and the development of advanced biofuels, delegates - including key policymakers together with energy businesses; their suppliers, customers and advisors; campaign groups; and other interested parties - will assess the future of biofuel take-up in the transport industry as well as its potential in other sectors such as heating and electricity. Delegates will also evaluate the remaining environment, economic and other challenges to the development of biofuel production.
