The event will include panel discussion and debate by industry experts on themes including:


The State of Funding for Automotive Cleantech: a review the health of the market for investment in the sector with a panel of experts presenting on their experiences and discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with the investment needed in the sector to drive forward technology innovation in industries including battery and fuel cell technology, charging technology for electric vehicles, fuel efficiency technologies for internal combustion engines, telematics and advances in autonomous vehicles. It will also review investment in related sectors such as biofuels and new business models including car and ride sharing and PRT systems.

Towards a Hydrogen Economy:  Focusing on the work being done to roll out a hydrogen economy in the automotive sector – in terms of both infrastructure and the development of vehicles. Speakers will represent the OEMs planning to roll out hydrogen vehicles, hydrogen refueling providers and industry bodies supporting the roll out of this industry. This session is supported by the London Hydrogen Partnership.

Electric VehiclesDelivering on the Promises: The electric vehicle industry has suffered a host of high profile casualties amongst its pioneer companies, but there are also high profile winners in the sector. This session will review the successes and failures, evaluate the extent to which the industry has become – or will soon become – established within the automotive industry and assess the lessons to be learnt from the last few years. Expert speakers from the EV industry will assess the most attractive areas for investment in the sector, covering topics such as charging infrastructure and battery technology, as well as EV manufacturing.
